The entrance to Museum City was a pair of enormous gates, twenty meters tall. After years of neglect, they let out an ear-piercing creak when pushed open.
The person in front pushed the gates open just wide enough to squeeze through, and the others filed in behind.
Straight ahead of the entrance was a wide street that curved slightly. Shops of all kinds lined both sides, selling mostly little toys, dolls, snacks, and other goods. The people who had run them seemed to have left in a hurry; most of the shops still looked as if they were open for business.
The shops on either side were arranged in parallel diagonal rows, but unevenly, leaving plenty of blind spots even for people standing in the middle of the street.
"So there are passageways on both sides, too." The players walked forward, looking at the fronts and backs of the shops.
Compared to the main street, the space behind and in front of the shops was narrow, with room for only three or four people to walk abreast.
"With this kind of layout, aren't people going to run into each other?" A female player with long, curly hair patted the corner jutting out from a shopfront. "Normally, the side facing the street would be flat, but here they've deliberately made it stick out."
"The game already said Museum City was turned into a horror-themed amusement park. It's no surprise they designed it this way on purpose." The man beside her adjusted his glasses. "From a psychological perspective, it's meant to put visitors under more pressure."
The group continued onward.
They couldn't take in all the scenery on either side of the street, but they could see the buildings farther inside Museum City. Xu Huo casually took a map from a wall
