Xiao Xiao interrupted the child's "broken-record" routine.
"Zhu Zhu forgives you."
"Really?!"
The child's eyes suddenly lit up, as if sunlight from the horizon had fallen into them.
"Really."
Xiao Xiao nodded. "You realized your mistake and apologized sincerely, didn't you?"
"Mm-hmm."
The child nodded emphatically, a huge smile spreading across his face.
"Zhu Zhu, thank you."
The human cub's beaming smile left Bing Feng momentarily stunned.
It rarely saw a human smile so brightly in front of it.
And all because of it.
Bing Feng lowered its eyes, its expression unreadable.
But soon, it lifted them again.
It gave a shiver.
The airplane flew out of its mane and toward the human cub.
The child instinctively held out his hand.
The next moment, the airplane landed safely in his palm.
The child blinked, then blinked again.
"Ah, my airplane!"
His mouth stretched into a smile so bright it was almost silly.
"Huff!"
Bing Feng snorted in mild disdain, then turned and walked away.
The airplane had been getting in its way, and the human cub had apologized, so it might as well give it back.
It wasn't a human cub, after all. It didn't like airplanes or anything.
"Linlin."
Xiao Xiao reminded the child, who was absorbed in the joy of finally getting his airplane back. "Zhu Zhu's leaving."
"Huh?"
The child looked up, bewildered. Seeing Zhu Zhu already some distance away, he immediately waved and shouted, "Zhu Zhu, thank you!"
"Goodbye, Zhu Zhu!"
"Huff! Huff..."
A few grunts drifted back.
The child beamed. "Zhu Zhu said goodbye to me too."
Xiao Xiao smiled and patted the child's head.
"That's right."
Though what Bing Feng had actually said was, "Who wants to say goodbye to you? What a troublesome human cub!"
"All right, Linlin."
"We
