September was gradually drawing to a close amid Udoka's scandal.
But then again, that was ultimately just an internal Celtics issue.
For the other teams, it was simply something entertaining to watch.
Once Joe Mazzulla from the assistant coaching staff was officially confirmed as the Celtics' interim head coach for the new season, the minor uproar quickly passed.
As for the Knicks, their joint practices at the end of September had gone very smoothly.
With someone as powerful and charismatic as Chen Xi leading the way, the team naturally got on the right track very quickly.
The only potential hidden danger Chen felt might become a problem... was Head Coach Tom Thibodeau.
Although Chen had a certain amount of respect for the renowned veteran coach, he had to admit that, from Chen Xi's perspective,
Thibodeau's tactical ideas were truly somewhat outdated.
More importantly, being outdated was one thing, but he was also incredibly stubborn!
That left Chen feeling rather troubled.
Thibodeau wouldn't listen to his advice, while Chen, as a newcomer, couldn't very well argue with him. Otherwise, the media would immediately slap him with accusations of coercing the front office and intimidating the coach.
Whether this would ultimately become an issue that held the Knicks back from achieving their best results in the new season was difficult to say.
Still, there was no way to resolve it in the short term, so they could only leave it alone for now~~
Chen couldn't be bothered to make a fuss over it, either.
In any case, the Knicks weren't taking the final record all that seriously this season~~
Once the calendar turned to October,
the new season that countless fans had been eagerly awaiting was finally about to begin.
During the half-month-long Pre-season, the League had scheduled only three games
