The group walked into town, arms around each other, laughing and joking.
"Everyone, let's throw a banquet for our warriors of the sea!" Igaram shouted, laughing, as he clapped Luffy on the shoulder. "No matter what, we have to properly welcome you all today."
"Wahahaha, you guys are the best, uncle!" Luffy was incredibly excited.
Reiner only had a vague impression of the original story, especially some of the earlier parts, which he'd watched when he was very young.
He vaguely remembered this place as an assassination organization under Old Sand, a group of bounty hunters disguised as villagers, specifically preying on naive pirates who had just entered the Grand Line.
"Just some small fry," Reiner thought, his expression unchanged. "This mayor should be Vivi's… uhm, what was it, uncle? Guardian? Never mind, there's nothing else worth noting here besides him and Vivi."
In fact, Reiner didn't have a deep obsession with Crocodile. His Undead couldn't inherit Devil Fruit abilities, and in terms of physical prowess, Old Sand was far inferior to the two giants at Little Garden.
Blue Ogre Dorry, Red Ogre Brogy.
They were the leaders of the Giant Warrior Pirates from Elbaf in the New World. The massive Sea Kings they once hunted were larger than several volcanoes, taking up half of the entire Little Garden island.
The image of their Elbaf Spear: Hakoku instantly piercing through an Island Eater Goldfish was still vivid in Reiner's mind.
He couldn't think of anyone in the first half of the Grand Line who could withstand such an attack head-on.
You say Logia types can take it?
Then never mind.
"Look, girls, there are two handsome blondes here!" a shout interrupted Reiner's thoughts.
A group of curvaceous beauties, dressed in incredibly revealing outfits, rushed out from the crowd. Each of them had a slender figure and a beaming smile as they approached Sanji and Reiner.
Sanji couldn't resist such a scene. He instantly went gaga and rushed over, mesmerized.
"What's your name, handsome?"
A few girls came up to Reiner, their delicate hands directly touching him, some wrapping around his waist, others stroking his chest.
Reiner could feel several warm, soft patches pressing against him through his clothes.
They're testing the cadres with this?!
Who could pass this test?!
"They're just giving themselves away~" Reiner's lips curved upwards, and he couldn't help but laugh internally: The Grand Line is good, the Grand Line is wonderful.
Reiner laughed heartily, opening his arms wide. He directly put one arm around a girl's fragrant shoulder and wrapped the other around another's slender waist, embracing them both.
"Oh, you're naughty~"
"Your arms are so strong, sir, I can barely breathe."
He wasn't some rigid person; when it came to honey traps, the more the merrier.
"I'm taking on ten tonight!"
"Naughty~, can you handle it, sir~"
The girls giggled, completely unbothered by Reiner and Sanji's playful advances.
Nami and Zoro, who were following behind, couldn't help but shake their heads, looking exasperated at the few who had been led astray with just a few words.
"Honestly, these guys are so unreliable!" Nami gritted her teeth. "Anyone with a brain would know there's no town in the world that welcomes pirates."
"Well, whatever, let's just see," Zoro said nonchalantly.
"You're the reliable one, Zoro."
"As long as there's booze, nothing else matters."
"Bastard! I just complimented you, and you say that!" Nami yelled, fuming.
And so, the group entered the town, welcomed enthusiastically by the villagers.
Soon, night fell.
In Whiskey Peak Town, every house was closed and dark. The usually silent and desolate Cactus Island had only one house still emitting a dim, yellow light.
Because of their arrival, the place had become incredibly lively, with laughter and cheerful sounds coming from inside.
"Another chef down!"
"That's the third one already! How much can he eat?!"
A group of people stared in astonishment, surrounding a ravenously eating Luffy. At the same time, exclamations erupted from the other side of the room.
"Oh my god! This swordsman has drunk 13 people under the table!"
"And the beautiful lady next to him is still going strong, competing with her fifteenth opponent!"
Inside the room, Zoro and Nami were participating in a drinking contest. To win the generous prize money, Nami was putting all her effort into drinking opponent after opponent under the table.
Reiner leaned back on the sofa, surrounded by beauties, being fed and having a grand time.
In the lively room, everyone was reveling, but while the villagers wore smiles, they were cursing inwardly.
In a dimly lit room on the second floor, a woman with long sky-blue hair, a delicate face, and a high ponytail watched the scene downstairs through a crack in the door, gritting her teeth.
"Where did these starving ghosts come from? If they keep eating and drinking like this, we'll go bankrupt on this deal."
A man with curly yellow hair and a crown responded, "Exactly! Is it really necessary, Mr. 8? They're just a few pirates from the East Blue."
"Your intelligence work is terrible. Take a look at this."
A low voice spoke, and Igaram, known as Mr. 8, pulled several wanted posters from his coat.
He slapped the wanted posters onto the table, spreading them out. On them were photos of Luffy, Zoro, and the Saw Devil.
"Thirty million! For that silly-looking kid?!"
"And that green-haired swordsman is worth sixteen million!"
"What the hell are these two?" The yellow-haired man with the crown exclaimed, "A twenty-five million bounty combination, but I don't think I saw these two people?"
"They're probably guarding the ship. My subordinates came back and said they saw a few figures left on their ship," Igaram said indifferently.
"A total bounty of over seventy million!"
"If we fight a head-on battle with a pirate crew like that, I'm afraid we don't stand a chance."
Creak~
At that moment, the room door opened.
"Don't worry, they've all fallen."
A tall woman with dark skin and strong limbs walked in and said to the people in the room:
"These people's appetites are truly exaggerated. We didn't have much food to begin with, and they almost ate it all. Luckily, their bounties are high enough."
"Is everything taken care of? Then let's tell everyone to get to work. Let's go." Igaram tugged at his collar and, with the others, jumped out the window.
Cactus Island is famous for its several large green mountains, covered in cross-shaped tombstones that, from a distance, resemble the thorns on a cactus ball.
Meanwhile, in the hall where the banquet had just ended, Reiner woke up on the sofa, opening his eyes and pulling himself out from among the sprawled-out women.
"It must be the middle of the night already. What a racket." Looking at the messy hall, Reiner scratched his golden hair.
Click!
A lighter flickered, and Sanji's voice came from nearby, "Tell me about it. This schedule isn't good."
"Catch."
"Thanks." Reiner casually caught the thrown cigarette, then turned to Zoro at the bar and asked, "Where's Nami?"
"She said she was going to plunder their treasure and already left," Zoro said flatly. He had been awake for a while, sitting at the bar pouring himself a drink.
Reiner chuckled, "Then she went on a wild goose chase. My Undead already confirmed that this place is truly dirt poor."
"ZZZ~~"
A loud snore suddenly erupted.
"To be able to sleep so soundly in the enemy's lair, he truly lives up to his name, Luffy." Usopp got up from the floor, shaking his head.
People lay sprawled out around the room. In the dim yellow light, some smoked, some drank, completely unconcerned about their situation.
Everyone's face was calm, unfazed by the impending crisis.
