Seeing Zhou Mingxing begin to think, Lin Chen spoke again. "So you need to be even more careful. Evil Soul Masters are a group that would even harm their own relatives."

"The Squad Leader left, Second Senior Brother left, and now even you're leaving, Little Star." Xiao Xiao pouted in dissatisfaction.

"Alright, Xiao Xiao. Little Star has his own goal. We should support him." Lin Xiaolei affectionately rubbed Xiao Xiao's little head.

"I'm just saying. Do you think I'd actually stop Little Star?" Xiao Xiao huffed. In front of her good sister, she could always act without restraint.

Lin Chen patted Zhou Mingxing on the shoulder. "Take care, brother. If you run into trouble you can't handle, remember to let us know."

Four years had passed. Though Lin Chen did not belong to this world, he had developed deep feelings for this little group.

Zhou Mingxing nodded, then looked toward Lin Xiaolei. She was looking at him too.

"Sister Xiaolei, I..."

Lin Xiaolei pressed two fingers to his lips. Tears glimmered in her eyes as she softly said, "I understand. I'll wait for you to come back."

The little loli Xiao Xiao had long since widened her eyes. No matter how foolish she was, she could tell what was going on.

Lin Chen hurriedly pulled her aside, made a shushing gesture, then took a chicken drumstick from his Storage Bag and stuffed it into her mouth.

Wasn't watching the drama while eating snacks much better? Why insist on being a third wheel?

Zhou Mingxing was moved by Lin Xiaolei as well and pulled her into his arms.

Though Lin Chen did not know when his good brother had developed feelings for Lin Xiaolei, he sincerely blessed them. He also gained a little more confidence in Zhou Mingxing's journey to the Sun Moon Empire.

Even Lin Chen, Zhou Mingxing's usual Dormitory roommate, had been kept in the dark. In the Sun Moon Empire, if Zhou Mingxing wanted to, he could probably toy even with a Title Douluo. That was where Lin Chen's confidence came from.

Not long afterward, a Soul Tool Department teacher called out to the crowd still saying their goodbyes, "Alright, it's time to depart!"

Zhou Mingxing reluctantly released Lin Xiaolei. His gaze became firmer, and without looking back, he flew away.

When Lin Xiaolei first emerged from Zhou Mingxing's embrace, her face had been bright red. Now she stared blankly at his retreating figure, tears welling in her eyes.

"He's already gone so far, and you're still watching?" Lin Chen said as he came to Lin Xiaolei's side.

Lin Xiaolei gently wiped her eyes. "Let's go." With that, she walked off at the front without looking back, clearly afraid of feeling embarrassed.

"Leilei, when did you and Little Star get together?" Xiao Xiao caught up, hugging Lin Xiaolei's arm as she asked.

At the mention of it, Lin Xiaolei's face reddened even more. "Go away, go away. What does a child like you know?"

After saying that, she ran off by herself, leaving Lin Chen and Xiao Xiao staring at each other.

Lin Chen merely smiled and said nothing.

"Come on, let's head back to class." It was already nearly time for lessons.

"Oh."

A few days later, Zhou Mingxing arrived in Mingdu of the Sun Moon Empire. He was fascinated by the various high-tech Soul Tools there and could not help feeling that coming here to study Soul Tools had been the right decision.

But his life became even more arduous. Every day, aside from studying Soul Tools, he cultivated. He had very little free time, yet Zhou Mingxing enjoyed it.

Lin Chen's life, on the other hand, became more monotonous. He attended class during the day and ran his stall at night. Only Lin Xiaolei came by to chat with him. As for Xiao Xiao, she was busy every day receiving Xuan Zi's guidance and rarely had time to get together.

"Little Earth, do you think Little Star will get used to life in the Sun Moon Empire?" Lin Xiaolei asked.

Lin Chen rubbed his forehead. This was already the fourth time she had asked. They said that concern led to confusion, and now it seemed that was indeed true!

"He'll get used to it." Lin Chen gave the same answer again. He had explained it clearly to her the previous three times, and he no longer wanted to explain.

Even Little Star could fool me. Who in the Sun Moon Empire could possibly scheme against him?

Seeing that there were hardly any customers left, Lin Chen simply packed up his stall.

After packing up, Lin Chen did not immediately return to the Dormitory. Instead, he chose to visit the auction house and Soul Tool shops to see if there were any suitable defensive Soul Tools he could equip himself with.

"Lin Chen, two people have been following you ever since you entered the night market," Qian Renxue suddenly warned him.

With Lin Chen's current Spiritual Power, it would not have been difficult to notice the two of them. But who would keep their spiritual senses active while walking through a bustling market? He had not caused any trouble outside either, and this was Shrek City, the place with the best public safety on the continent.

Hearing this, Lin Chen's eyes sharpened. He turned and headed toward a dark corner.

Seeing this, the two immediately followed. But when they entered the alley, Lin Chen was nowhere to be seen.

"What's wrong with you? How did you lose him?" one of them said to the other.

"You're asking me? Didn't you lose him too?" the other retorted unwillingly.

Hidden in the darkness, Lin Chen watched them start arguing and could not bear to watch any longer. He reached out and placed a hand on one of their shoulders.

Before the man could react, Lin Chen knocked him to the ground. The other hurriedly summoned his Martial Soul.

But he saw Lin Chen vanish before his eyes in an instant. A blue flash streaked past, and Lin Chen appeared before him in the blink of an eye. Before he could make a move, Lin Chen knocked him to the ground as well.

The two men's wails echoed through the dark alley.

"Two Soul Kings dared to follow me? Speak. Who sent you?" Lin Chen held the Seven Kill Sword and pointed it at one of them.

"Y-Yes, yes! The family head sent us!" Seeing death so close at hand, the man no longer cared about anything else and immediately revealed both his and his companion's identities completely.

"Good, very good. What a Wang Family!" Lin Chen raged. He had not even gone looking for trouble with Wang Lei yet, but they were already keeping an eye on him.

After killing the other man, Lin Chen said to the Wang Family member who had confessed everything, "Go back and tell your master that one day, Lin will surely pay him a visit! That day is not far off."
