A giant beast leaped out of the azure sea, its body draped in milky-white foam as it soared toward the equally azure horizon. Once its mountain-like form had completely left the ocean, its original gray color gradually faded, and its shape slowly vanished, leaving behind only a hazy outline that seemed to belong to a dream. Then it plunged into the sea of clouds.
Foam slid from beneath its transparent body, shimmering with glorious colors in the gentle sunlight.
The iridescent light drifted down over the sea like colored mist. Along with the waves that had yet to subside, countless fish-like creatures capable of flight leaped out of the water and soared through the surf, like a swarm of bees playing among flowers.
Such a magnificent sight unfolded before the people on the nearby island. Eroans, Maishanda trolls, longbeards, and members of other races alike could not help but feel their spirits lifted by this scene of life in all its beauty.
In the narrative of galactic civilization, the races known as the Marauders all played the part of ugly villains, as if they were the source of all the suffering and evil in the universe, as if they were born to be corrupt things lurking in dark corners, unworthy of basking in the sunlight.
But the truth was, whether they were the fanatical and violent Ero demons, the greedy, bloodthirsty trolls, or the sinister and cruel longbeards, they were all carbon-based intelligent beings who had evolved beneath the sun. The genes that had flowed through their bloodlines for billions of years still preserved the instincts shared by all living things.
Now, they were greedily savoring the warm sunlight and the damp sea breeze. They had been born and raised aboard cold nomadic ships, struggling to survive among countless high-mass
