Thunder boomed in Lu Yin's mind. Mu... Mu... Mu Xie?
He looked up, unable to believe it. "Mu?"
Qing Chen hadn't noticed Lu Yin's reaction. He gazed up with reverence, his eyes seeming to pierce the Upper Realm and reach the distant Dominion Realm, where that figure stood. "That's right. The Governor Lord's surname is Mu, and his name is Mu Xie. Remember this: if you succeed in becoming his disciple, you may address him as Master Mu."
Lu Yin lowered his head, feeling absurdly disoriented. Could the Governor Lord really be Mr. Mu?
Could he—or couldn't he?
He was completely dumbfounded. Across the Tree Starry Sky, the Fifth Continent, the Sixth Continent, and even all of human history, how many Ancestral Realm powerhouses could there be? And someone surnamed Mu was even rarer. At least, Lu Yin had never heard of an Ancestral Realm powerhouse with that surname.
If Mr. Mu really was an Ancestral Realm powerhouse, then the odds that he and Mu Xie were the same person were far too high.
Were Mr. Mu and Mu Xie the same person or not? Lu Yin was utterly bewildered.
By the time Qing Chen brought Lu Yin to the Upper Realm, he still hadn't recovered. His mind held only those two words: Mu Xie.
Inside the Cold Immortal Sect's Jade Peak, Yu Chen gradually clenched her fists. She had miscalculated. She had gotten it wrong. Long Qi had actually come up the cloud ladder; he hadn't taken a detour.
The moment news reached the Cold Immortal Sect that Half Ancestor Kui Luo and Qing Chen had fought beneath the cloud ladder, Yu Chen knew she had miscalculated.
She had overestimated Long Qi—or no, she looked over the various reports on Lu Yin. She hadn't overestimated him, not at all.
