Lu Yin raised his teacup again and breathed in the tea's fragrance. "It seems you and Wang Wen are getting along well."
San Liang suppressed his shock. Lu Yin's words had cleared up the doubts in his mind.
Back then, contact information had inexplicably appeared before him. He had tried reaching out, and he and Wang Wen had hit it off immediately. One wanted to become a councilor and gain access to outside resources; the other wanted to place his own people in Boundary Mountain.
With Wang Wen's cooperation and the Eastern Frontier Alliance's support, San Liang had grown bolder. He knew especially well that the Eastern Frontier Alliance had Elder Chan and the Chief Judge's backing, and with the Leien Battle Group, the foremost of the Four Hegemons, behind them, there was a lot he now dared to do. He was getting closer and closer to a councilor's seat, and he was confident he would secure one.
Yet despite everything going smoothly, one thing continued to unsettle him: the person who had left Wang Wen's contact information. How had that person left it without a trace, and why had they sought him out? He had asked Wang Wen about it, but Wang Wen hadn't told him. He had only said that San Liang would understand when the time came.
When Lu Yin contacted Wang Wen, he had mentioned San Liang. Lu Yin knew a great deal about San Liang's current circumstances.
"I'm not interested in what you and Wang Wen are doing. I came to ask about Councilor Cong Ying," Lu Yin said.
San Liang's attitude changed. The man before him was not only the Alliance Leader of the Eastern Frontier Alliance, but also the one who had brought him into a position where he might become a councilor.
