Lu Yin looked up toward the Upper Realm. The Xia family was holding its ancestral rites, and Xia Zhitong had been invited. That meant he, her husband in name, should go as well. The only concern was running into the Xia Family Ancestor and having his identity exposed. He would have to think of a way around that.
"We've finished watching this show. Now it's your turn to watch one with me," Kui Luo said.
Lu Yin looked confused. "What show am I watching with you?"
Kui Luo gave a strange, indignant laugh. "That old Food God actually mocked me for having no virtue. Fine! I'll show him just how lacking in virtue I can be. Let's go to Yixian Academy. Teaching and educating the next generation has always been my dream."
Lu Yin gave Kui Luo a strange look. Him, teaching and educating? It didn't seem likely.
"What's that look for, kid? I'll have you know I'm excellent at teaching students," Kui Luo protested.
Lu Yin pressed his lips together. "All right, then. I'll go with you."
Even if Kui Luo hadn't brought it up, Lu Yin would have gone to Yixian Academy. Taking students on field trips was one of the few ways to enter the Four Sides Heavenly Balance openly. Besides, Yixian Academy had the cultivation method for the Void God Realm, a form of field control he wanted. It could let him touch space, and perhaps deepen his understanding of the Ce Secret. He was also curious about what drew the Four Sides Heavenly Balance to the academy.
It was time for him to play mentor. He wondered if he was up to the task.
Zhongping Realm had nine districts, each with a name rooted in its own unique history. Take Yin Mountain Area, for instance.
