In the Fifth Continent's Starry Sky Academy, Lu Yin stood with one foot on Star Picking Tower, staring at the silhouettes of time before him. He watched scenes from the past flash by, but they passed far too quickly for him to make anything out.
His gaze focused on one of the scenes. It gradually grew clearer, and he saw a sheer black cliff stretching into infinity, like the edge of an abyss. And above that cliff, what was that? Lu Yin was just about to make it out when suddenly, the scene vanished. An indescribable force knocked him back. He staggered more than a dozen steps before regaining his balance. He tried to recall what he had just seen, but the memory of the scene had vanished.
What had he seen? He couldn't remember. His mind was blank.
