Wei Rong took a deep breath and bowed respectfully. "Gu Wei wasn't my real name. My real name is Wei Rong."
Wang Gui was surprised. He turned to look at Wei Rong. "What do you mean? Why did you hide your real name? Do you have enemies?"
He didn't care. To the Wang family, anyone who wasn't one of the other three Sides of the Heavenly Balance was an ant. He was only the head of a branch family, but a branch family head was still a member of the Wang family.
Wei Rong looked solemn, as though he had made a momentous decision. "I did it to conceal my identity when I joined the Wang family."
Wang Gui's gaze turned cold as he stared at Wei Rong.
Wei Rong revealed his identity. It left Wang Gui utterly stunned.
Wang Gui stared at Wei Rong in disbelief. "You're one of Lu Yin's people? Then what are your intentions in joining the Wang family? Does Manman know? Guards!"
A group of cultivators rushed over and warily watched Wei Rong.
Wei Rong looked helpless. "Father-in-law, my confession means I no longer want anything to do with that Lu Yin. Not only that, I'm willing to tell you everything I know about him and help you get closer to the main branch and gain a say in the Wang family."
Wang Gui was furious. "Nonsense! You're a traitor who joined my branch. How could I gain a say in the family? How could I get closer to the main branch? The main branch would be doing me a favor just by not wiping us out."
"Father-in-law!" Wei Rong shouted, fixing his gaze on Wang Gui. "I can help you reach the heights you seek. I know far too much about Lu Yin. Take
