Lu Yin looked at the Divine Eagle. "How long have you followed the Ancestor?"
At the mention of the Ancestor, the chill in the Divine Eagle's eyes abruptly faded. Its gaze flickered, then it stopped looking at Lu Yin and turned back toward the distance.
"The Ancestor created the path of cultivation for humanity, protected mankind, and brought us the brilliant civilization of the Heavenly Sect. You and Ancestor Mang were both part of that civilization. Now that the Ancestor is gone, are you two really going to do nothing?" Lu Yin asked.
The Divine Eagle continued gazing into the distance, utterly unmoved.

The Divine Eagle didn't react.
Lu Yin let out a breath and smiled at the Divine Eagle. "You scruffy bird."
The Divine Eagle fixed its gaze on Lu Yin, fury filling its eyes.
Lu Yin glared back at it, irritated. "I'm asking you a question. Even if you won't help humanity, can't you at least give me a reaction? I have to insult you before you'll respond? You're just asking for a beating."
The Divine Eagle moved, shaking the branches. The chill in its eyes grew stronger. It looked ready to strike.
Lu Yin was ready for that, too. He didn't want this thing ignoring him. Even a fight would be better than having it sit there like a statue. It would be ideal if he could beat some sense into it. The Divine Eagle and Ancestor Mang were strong, but they were certainly no match for the Three Realms Six
