Lu Yin silently withdrew from Zhi Zong.
Eight Colors' words had revealed the cruel truth of the Cubic Distance, though it was one they had always known.
The ecosystem Ancestor Mountain spoke of and the ecosystem Eight Colors said did not exist weren't contradictory.
When certain civilizations hadn't been destroyed, there was an ecosystem. When they had, there wasn't.
It wasn't the fishing civilizations that decided whether an ecosystem existed. On the contrary, it was the civilizations trapped inside them.
From Eight Colors' perspective, there truly was no ecosystem. But from Human Civilization's perspective, the Unknown was the ecosystem that had trapped them.
It was a way of thinking about the bigger picture.
But what if Eight Colors meant that ecosystems didn't exist because of strength? What then?
It was like how the Death Universe had sealed the White Bone fishing operation with an Origin Treasure, how the Technology Civilization had bought the coordinates of the Evil Thief to fish, and how the Unknown fished with its gates. The Jumping Board Civilization, meanwhile, fished everything. That supreme arrogance was the perfect demonstration of what strength meant.
Was Eight Colors trying to say the same thing?
Lu Yin pondered for a while, then found Master Cao.
Master Cao stared blankly at Lu Yin. "You want me to go to Zhi Zong and get something for you?"
Lu Yin nodded.
Master Cao examined him, looking incredulous.
Lu Yin looked at him. "Is that strange?"
Master Cao said, "I know you're afraid the Unknown will attack you, but one day you'll go to Zhi Zong."
Lu Yin replied, "Perhaps I won't be afraid by then."
Master Cao smiled bitterly. "The Unknown is powerful."
"Save it. I don't need to know how powerful the Unknown is. You've been to Zhi Zong, so go again
