It was terrifying. The upheaval from this battle far surpassed that of the battle between the strongest beings back then. The Masters' power was no longer confined to the Outer and Inner Heavens; it had spread far beyond them. He could feel the shock waves even out in the universe.
It was best to get farther away.
In the Calamity Realm, the Life Master blocked Wang Wen's attack and looked toward the Illusionary Upper Void Realm. "Gone?"
"Karma, humanity is gone. What exactly did you tell him?"
The Karma Master roared in fury. "What does he mean by that?"
Wang Wen laughed. "Looks like he doesn't want to play."
Xiang Siyu smiled faintly. "That little guy is much more cunning than you are."
The Karma Master glared at Xiang Siyu. "His escape does you no good."
Xiang Siyu didn't care. "He was supposed to be dealt with after you died. If he's escaped, so be it."
A flicker passed through the Life Master's eyes. "Trying to run? Impossible." With that, the Life Master vanished, pursuing Lu Yin beyond the Outer and Inner Heavens.
The Karma Master hadn't expected the Life Master to leave it behind in the Outer and Inner Heavens. It tried to leave as well, but Xiang Siyu and Wang Wen blocked its way.
The Masters were just as full of schemes and deceit as anyone else. The Life Master didn't care what happened to the Karma Master. Even if Xiang Siyu and Wang Wen joined forces and killed it, Xiang Siyu would be crippled.
Besides, the odds of it being killed were incredibly low. How could a Master die so easily?
All
