Did the Consciousness Master look like this?
Inside Yi Tian Que, Lu Yin saw the Consciousness Master with its back to him. He had entered the River of Time, and everything around him was gray.
He stepped forward, wanting to see the Consciousness Master's face.
Suddenly, the gray shattered.
An indescribable consciousness swept across the world. Lu Yin's pupils contracted, and he hurriedly retreated.
When he looked again, cracks were spreading through the scenes from the past he had drawn out, reaching toward the distant past.
He'd been discovered.
It was the Consciousness Master.
He had tried to enter the River of Time and see the Master's past. That was a grave taboo. This was a Master, not an ordinary living being. How could a Master fail to notice someone peering at them from the future?
The one striking now wasn't the Consciousness Master in the present, but the one in the past.
At some unknown point in the distant past, the Consciousness Master in the scene Lu Yin had just glimpsed had struck at the River of Time with its consciousness. Just as Lu Yin had once attacked the River of Time with karma, it was trying to shatter its own past completely.
Gritting his teeth, Lu Yin drew out tributaries of the River of Time, one after another. They turned into gray mist and surged forth, pulling out more scenes from the past. He was racing the Consciousness Master. If it wanted to shatter its past, he had to be one step faster and see as much as he could.
To find the last Time Ancient City, he only needed to look at the Consciousness Master's most recent past.
But Lu Yin had no way to ensure that the scenes he drew out were actually recent. The scene
