Born into this world, how lucky I was.
Born into this world, how unlucky I was.
Before I knew it, more than two hundred years had passed.
One million seven hundred and fifty thousand hours was such a long time—so long that I'd nearly forgotten what I'd been searching for.
Six billion three hundred million seconds was so short, as though I'd only crawled out of my mother's warm, wet vagina yesterday.
...Oh dear, "warm, wet vagina" sounded a little vulgar, didn't it?
Moral guardians, don't get carried away, okay? Calling the sacred act of childbirth vulgar isn't very nice.
Come to think of it, I think I just used the word "sacred." I was arguably the least religious person in the world, yet I still used that word to describe certain things. Looking at it that way, I seemed pretty hypocritical. But it couldn't be helped. "Sacred" had almost entirely shed its religious meaning by now and had long since become a simple adjective. It was only natural that I used it now and then.
I seemed to be quibbling over words a little too much.
No wonder. People like me, whose inner thoughts were thousands of times more elaborate than what we said aloud, usually had a touch of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Sometimes I'd suddenly start thinking about the meaning and usage of a common word. To put it kindly, you could call it a kind of... mental game? An elevated pastime to kill time? Whatever.
I did rather like little philosophical musings, though I couldn't say why. It was probably instinct, like how I liked relatively dark, cramped rooms. I didn't have many hobbies, but listing them all still seemed like a mess. Too much trouble, so I wouldn't.
Uh... so I'd been talking to myself this whole
