Inside one of the Illuminati's rooms, Li Ang was browsing the web on a computer, looking at the news from this world.
As expected, this 838 Universe was in terrible shape.
It had been through many major events, and many superheroes had died.
That was why the Illuminati existed.
They had also come up with Ultron, using it to protect Earth.
Most importantly, they had succeeded, unlike in the Main Universe.
So it was no wonder Tony Stark had developed a persecution complex. All of this really could happen.
They had just been unlucky. Ultron had failed.
Li Ang understood now why people like Batman always thought so much about the possibility that Earth might face a crisis one day.
Hearing the door open behind him and footsteps enter, Li Ang turned around.
Then he was surprised.
Captain Carter had come in—the woman who had taken Steve Rogers' place as Captain America.
She was tall and imposing, with a dashing bearing.
Most importantly, she wasn't wearing her uniform. She had on a dress, and it was obvious she had taken care to dress up.
Li Ang was no novice. How could he not understand what she meant?
He waved a hand, and the door shut.
Peggy Carter looked a little surprised. "Is that your power?"
"Just a little."
Li Ang smiled and stood up from his chair. "Actually, I prefer you in uniform."
Tight outfits really were great.
Captain Carter had already prepared herself, but she still felt uncomfortable hearing his plainly teasing remark.
She could fight all day, but this sort of thing...
She took a deep breath. "If you want, I can change back."
"No need. A tight outfit would be too much trouble."
Li Ang smiled. "Maybe another time."
