"Peggy, what happened?"
Maria Rambeau saw Captain Carter again.
But it was already a day later.
The once dashing Captain Carter looked a little tired, and she seemed to be having some trouble moving.
"Nothing."
Captain Carter shook her head. She couldn't exactly say that Li Ang had been an absolute animal, could she?
He'd been too fierce.
But that had also left her unsure of how she felt about Li Ang.
It was supposed to be a transaction... but now she seemed to be enjoying it a little.
It felt like she'd wasted her life before this.
Maria Rambeau naturally knew what had happened, so she helped Captain Carter and asked, "Did he agree?"
"He did."
"Then shall we call all the members together?"
"Sure."
Captain Carter nodded. "I'll go back to my room and rest for a bit."
"No problem."
An hour later, Li Ang and Deadpool Wade headed to the conference room.
"Did you tell Professor X about what happened in your universe?"
Li Ang asked Deadpool.
"No, he couldn't do much to help."
Deadpool shook his head.
He might seem scatterbrained, but in reality, he was very cautious.
He wouldn't reveal anything he shouldn't.
After all, Professor X wasn't the Anchor Person.
"He just asked me a little about how things had developed in our world."
"And then... I figured out why the X-Men respected him so much."
"He gave me a whole bunch of feel-good advice. I couldn't even argue with him!"
Deadpool said indignantly.
After all, he was only good at running his mouth. He didn't have any profound wisdom.
Professor X was different. Every time he opened his mouth, he spouted life lessons.
"Are we really going to tell them the truth?"
Deadpool then asked, "It'll have an immeasurable impact on their universe's
