He checked in with Alfred to get an update on the situation outside. The network was working perfectly.

On Gotham turf, no one could cut off his communications!
"Master Wayne, things in Gotham are looking very bad. Batwoman, Nightwing, and Robin have all been deployed."
At that moment, Batman was lying inside a ventilation duct, watching the area below through a small vent.
Although some criminals had escaped Arkham Asylum, many more had been driven back inside.
The criminals had begun to revel in the asylum.
Batman found the sight troubling, but as the asylum's superstar, he decided to deal with his fans first.
"The Falcone family and Penguin are definitely behind all this. Just wait until I get out—I'll teach them a lesson."
Batman was furious. He had to lock Penguin up in Arkham Asylum!
"Alfred, send me a map of the asylum."
"Of course, Master Wayne."
Alfred sent it over in no time.
As soon as Batman saw the map, he made up his mind.
Like Spider-Man, he crawled through the ventilation ducts without the slightest discomfort.
The strong never complain about their circumstances!
Batman was a master of ambushes. He would drop down through a vent, knock someone unconscious in an instant, then use his grappling hook to get back into the ducts.
After a few such attacks, the criminals quickly realized they needed to stick together.
Once they banded together, Batman couldn't keep attacking them.
He also realized that the criminals were already falling under Joker's influence.
Joker was very good at manipulating people. A few words were all it took to send someone charging into battle for him.
