Even though they had a lot they wanted to say,
after everything that had happened, Li Ang and the others still had to give statements.

Rachel's mother hadn't shown up all night, as if she didn't care much about her.

Li Ang spoke up, naturally unwilling to let Rachel go home alone.
Rachel didn't refuse, but just kept her head down, silent.
Li Ang patted her head and spoke to Commissioner Gordon. "Commissioner Gordon, sorry for the trouble, but could you return the money to Kate?"
He might have wanted the money, but he certainly wouldn't take Kate Kane's.
No matter how close they were, he couldn't do that.
"I'll have Officer Judy drive you home."
Commissioner Gordon patted Li Ang on the shoulder and gave him a look.
James Gordon clearly hoped that Li Ang and Officer Judy would get together.
He could tell that Officer Judy was fond of Li Ang.
So he decided to play matchmaker.

Officer Judy didn't mind that he had a goddaughter, and they got along well.
She chatted with the girls nonstop, like they were old friends.
