"Yoruichi, I never meant to hide anything from you, and I never lied to you."

Kenma looked at the furious Yoruichi, his voice calm.
He had not lied. He considered lying beneath him. He simply had not told her the whole truth.
If Yoruichi had noticed what he left unsaid during their time together and pressed him for answers, Kenma would have had trouble hiding it.
Knowing Yoruichi, if she had learned everything he had arranged in secret, she would have opposed him without question.
She might even have brought it all into the open for everyone to see.
Just as she had today.
Kenma looked at Yoruichi and spread his hands.
"If you insist on putting it that way, Yoruichi, you trusted me too much. For that, I'm grateful."

Yoruichi could not stand hearing such bullshit from Kenma and cursed him.
She suddenly remembered her father's words before he died, and her eyes widened.
His final wish had been that she never stand against Kenma. Better yet, she should have a child with him to keep his heart tied to her.
Had her father already sensed what Kenma was hiding deep down?
At the thought, Yoruichi said hoarsely, "So that was what Father meant back then—"

She had shared a bed with her husband for years. They even had a child, yet she had never seen what was in his heart.
