History

Origins in Taihua City

The Yuan Sect’s early membership grew out of Su Yuan’s livestream audience and commercial activities. Popularity alone was insufficient: the System distinguished ordinary followers from those loyal enough to count as members. Alongside livestream sales, Su Yuan supplied body-refinement secret medicine through contacts such as Yang Wentao and Wang Chao 60.

Its development became a formal System objective after the destruction of Zhu Yan Bai Gu Guan left a vacancy among the Top 100 Demonic Sects. At the first displayed checkpoint, the Yuan Sect had 25,779 disciples, an Out-of-Circle Index of 5,026, and popularity of 5,500. Completing the task subsequently unlocked its hierarchical Sect System 169 175.

Su Yuan expanded from individual sales into organized production, recruiting Qi Hanyua as Alchemy Hall Master and constructing the Pill Hall’s facilities. Classmate investment helped fund expansion; alchemy and artifact-refining assembly lines then generated substantial academic credits for the sect’s leadership 199 204 212 220.

Expansion into Ten Immortal City

Although already legally registered, the Yuan Sect initially lacked the scale and influence Su Yuan considered necessary for affiliation with one of the Ten Great Immortal Sects. He sought proprietary technology and leadership in an emerging market rather than competing in established low-end manufacturing 239.

With Taihua Yu Xi’s assistance, he found Chaotic Sword Hall and obtained its flying-sword modification technology, including an unfinished Self-absorbing Spiritual Energy Engine. He subsequently annexed the remaining forces of Chaotic Sword Hall, Juque Sect, and Imperial Sword Gate, acquiring their personnel, industries, and technologies 240 242 243.

The former Imperial Sword Gate office became the Yuan Sect’s headquarters. Taihua Tianji helped secure investment and approval, and the organization became an affiliated sect of the Evil Slaying Sword Sect. Its engine business soon became popular among local Sword Cultivators 243 244 245 248.

Expansion into Tianluo World

After destroying the Blood God Cult’s senior leadership, Su Yuan proposed taking over its remnants while retaining the Blood God Cult name externally. He planned two headquarters: its original headquarters and Blood Mist Island, an existing pirate-market and intelligence hub 404.

This expansion also served an urgent financial and supernatural need. Su Yuan’s preceding battle had consumed 1,000 Fortune points—one-third of the Yuan Sect’s foundation—and he feared that failing to replenish it could cause the sect to collapse 404.

Guiyuan later joined the sect and declared it Tianluo World’s sole official orthodox sect. Its headquarters began administering vaccinations against the Abyssal Shadows, while Chen Nuoyi and other cadres were summoned to handle administration. A subsequent expansion established branches throughout the five continents 438 440 441 442.

Tai Xu Illusion Realm

Within the Tai Xu Illusion Realm, Su Yuan reunited with familiar cadres and built the Yuan Sect’s influence through conquest. The sect defeated nine major devilish sects and absorbed their members, attracting the Reincarnation Heavenly Monarch’s attention 459 463.

Later, widespread condemnation of Su Yuan prompted Righteous Path attacks on Yuan Sect strongholds. Returning Nascent Soul cultivators prevented major incidents. After the final confrontation, Su Yuan returned to the sect headquarters to prepare his Nascent Soul breakthrough under his companions’ protection 475 480.
