"You got your life back, Bento," Kamio Tatsuya said mockingly, then turned to Hirata. "But Hirata, it seems you haven't been wasting your time lately. You've improved."
From the moment Kamio Tatsuya returned to Class D, it had taken him only a few seconds to dig them into a deep hole. Hirata had filled it in just a few seconds later.
Most of the Class D students were still confused. They didn't know why Hirata had just yelled at Bento, or why Kamio Tatsuya had said Bento had gotten his life back.

"It's simple. If Bento had driven Kamio away just now, then he would have been the one Class D chose to expel this time."
Horikita now understood Kamio Tatsuya's intentions, and broke out in a cold sweat.
Talking to someone like him meant never knowing when you'd fall into one of his traps. It was downright terrifying.

Seeing that the Class D students still didn't understand, Horikita continued explaining. She had to stop these idiots from angering Kamio Tatsuya any further—or giving him an excuse to go back on what he'd agreed to at lunch.

"Horikita, if your brother saw you like this now, he'd be very proud."
