While they ate, the two of them quickly tried to figure out how to... persuade the other to help them deal with Tsukishiro.
Kamio Tatsuya was the first to come up with an answer. As for an excuse, one was right there for the taking.
"Ayanokoji, let's work together and take on Tsukishiro. Chairman Sakayanagi treated me well. I can't just sit by while someone targets him."
Kamio Tatsuya made his proposal first. That might give Ayanokoji the upper hand, but at this point, Kamio Tatsuya couldn't afford to worry about that.
One reason was self-preservation. The other was exactly what he'd said: Sakayanagi Narumori had treated him well, yet now he was under investigation and stuck at home.
If he could do something for him, then of course he had a responsibility to do so.
"You mean you want to take on Tsukishiro?"
"It's about protecting ourselves. Besides, now that he's planning to target the two of us, he'll surely make a series of moves. Maybe he's the one behind this Class Vote exam.
"This exam has left us without the Private Points we need to protect ourselves. Next time, he'll probably get serious."
Ayanokoji nodded.
He knew his own father well. Now that the man had made his move, there was no way he'd just let things fizzle out.
Tsukishiro was bound to have more plans. That much was certain.
"Whatever the case, this Tsukishiro you mentioned is the Acting Chairman. It'll be difficult for us to deal him a blow, since we're only students."
"So you agree, then?"
Kamio Tatsuya raised an eyebrow.
"Like you said, it's about protecting ourselves. I don't want to be expelled just like that, either," Ayanokoji said expressionlessly.
In truth, Ayanokoji felt relieved, too. He'd been wondering how
