The next morning, when Eno woke up after nearly twelve hours of sleep, she looked much better.

Judging by Eno's condition, yesterday's slight overexertion of her magic hadn't had any lasting effect on her.

Just as Karya had said, the magic behind yesterday's spectacular display hadn't come entirely from Eno herself.

Then, after a relieved Lux and Eno had finished breakfast together in the inn's dining room, the enforcer who had escorted them back the day before came to find them, just as expected.

In an office at the very end of the second-floor corridor, they met the Piltover enforcer in charge of the case.

"This is Ms. Grayson," the enforcer who had brought Lux introduced her. "She's Piltover's sheriff and is mainly responsible for the Academy District."

"Ms. Grayson." Lux nodded politely. "So, what exactly would you like to know?"

"Mainly the details of yesterday's explosion." Grayson had dark skin, but even that couldn't hide her heavy bags under her eyes. "Tell me, what did you see yesterday?"

"There was an explosion, and the building blew apart," Lux answered calmly. "Four stories, split right down the middle. Even the road cracked."

"Thank you very much, miss." Grayson nodded, evidently not surprised by the answer at all. "Before the explosion, did you hear or see anything?"

"No." Lux adopted a thoughtful expression, then shook her head. "We were just walking down the street as usual. I'd just watched a performance—it was wonderful—and was discussing the plot with my friend."
