General Mobilization

Since most of the nobles' private armies had been disbanded, Demacia's regular troops were now mostly stationed in fiefs directly controlled by the royal family. There were hardly any enemies along Demacia's borders, so outside of key areas, all they needed were small ranger units to serve as an early-warning force. This arrangement was not only easier to manage, but also made it more convenient for the royal family to provide supplies.

What's more, the private armies Jarvan IV had previously annexed had not yet been significantly depleted. Aside from a few additional logistics personnel, Demacia didn't need to recruit more troops. As a result, the army in the Imperial Capital assembled very quickly in response to news of the northern rebellion.

Even though gathering supplies from the nobles had wasted some time, once Jarvan IV announced the mobilization order, the elite Demacian troops under his command did not disappoint him. The active-duty soldiers had assembled in place within three days, and were expected to set out from their respective stations and arrive in the capital within seven.

Jarvan IV, thoroughly fed up with the nobles, moved into the military camp that very evening, after announcing the mobilization order. Their actions had clearly provoked His Majesty the Emperor. The great nobles really are a bunch of parasites. These junior officers and new military nobles are far more dependable!

In a sense, Jarvan IV was indeed an emperor with a strong military bearing. Compared to gentle political tactics, he preferred to solve problems through military means, so he could achieve what he believed to be a truly definitive solution.
