The Forgotten Camavor

When he learned that the merchants from Antashil were from Camavor, Karya's brows shot up.

He knew very little about Camavor.

In fact, as far as Karya knew, Camavor was a remote and barren land. During the height of the Shuriman Empire, Camavor had already been discovered, but its inhabitants still lived in primitive tribes. Even the Shuriman Empire, with its overwhelming desire for conquest, had little interest in the region.

After all, Shuriman civilization depended entirely on the Sun Disc. When building cities on the Shuriman Continent, the first question was whether they could be conveniently connected to the Sun Disc. So the Shuriman Empire simply had no appetite for Camavor.

Thus, all Karya knew about Camavor was that it was "a continent somewhere east of the Shuriman Continent, beyond the Sea of Watch."

The Shuriman Empire had sent a few expeditions there, of course. After landing on Camavor, they had conducted surveys and brought back some of its native plants and animals to Shurima to raise and cultivate. But the empire's attitude toward the Camavor Continent had always been the same.

It wasn't worth paying attention to.

However, after the Shuriman Empire split apart, everything changed dramatically.

As far as Karya knew, after he sealed himself away, the Shuriman Empire lost its "greatest common denominator." The royal family, the Ascended, and the Darkin soon split over their conflicting ideals. Many left the empire and began trying to restore Shurima's glory in their own way.

Some believed that too much infighting over power had caused the empire to lose its former splendor. They chose to return to ordinary life and work steadily to heal the Shuriman Continent's wounds.

Others believed the Aspects were behind everything, and that they had to learn from their enemies in order to defeat them.
