Even in Demacia, Karya's identity was an extremely closely guarded secret. Apart from a handful of Hextech mages he had personally instructed, almost nobody knew that the mysterious, mask-wearing man was actually the "power behind the throne" of all Demacia.
However, considering the current balance of power between Demacia and Noxus, even though the War Builders knew nothing at all about Karya, the people assigned to receive him wouldn't dare show him the slightest neglect.
In fact, on the very day Karya arrived at the Immortal Bastion, Rell, the woman who had taken over as Grand Commander, personally invited him to a special welcome banquet.
At the banquet, Karya and Rell had a lively conversation. He didn't mention anything about diplomacy, instead sharing a friendly discussion about magic with the new Grand Commander. By the end of the evening, Rell had visibly relaxed.
After the banquet, Karya made no effort to act like a guest while talking to his attendants. He asked about this and that without the slightest awareness that "gathering intelligence should be done discreetly."
Naturally, the Noxians were quite displeased, but that was all it amounted to.
Even though Karya hadn't yet explained the reason for his visit, the Noxians could only treat him with the utmost respect.
And so, before officially asking about Jotunheim, Karya spent five days wandering the streets and alleys of the Immortal Bastion in his capacity as a diplomat. He was like a curious street loafer, much to the anguish of the attendants assigned to escort him.
Aside from occasionally discussing magical theory with Rell, he spent most of his time roaming the city. Every now and then, he'd generously buy some souvenirs, then hand them to an attendant to carry.
The only good news for the poor attendants was that the
