As the shattered Watcher was forced out by the spatial turbulence, the entire battlefield fell into a brief silence.
The contrast was simply too great. The Watcher, which had seemed invincible just moments ago, had become a heap of mangled flesh, apparently incapable of fighting back at all. This was far beyond anyone's expectations—only Lux, who had vaguely guessed what Karya had paid to make this happen, could understand the reason.
Surprised as they were, when Karya spread his arms and announced that it was time to kick the Watcher while it was down, the three primal gods of Freljord, who had been seething with anger, and the allied forces, who had long been prepared for battle, finally surged forward together. They charged onto the Frost Bridge and began furiously tearing the Watcher apart.
Without its chitinous shell, and with its single eye no longer able to scan its surroundings, the Watcher was now utterly defenseless. Even an ordinary sword could slice off pieces of its soft, sticky body.
But... that was all.
After hacking away excitedly for a while, everyone realized that they could only break the Watcher down into pieces, not destroy it completely. Even after being chopped into mincemeat, it continued to slowly regenerate.
Neither Elemental Magic, energy blasts, nor physical damage could deprive the Watcher of its ability to recover. The only thing that could slow its regeneration was the Malphites' suppression, but they also needed to maintain the barrier against Void energy. They simply had no time to spare.
Besides, the Watcher's total length was measured in miles. Even if the Malphite Combat Unit devoted itself entirely to suppressing it, they still couldn't completely stop it from reviving.
If Karya hadn't warned them beforehand, Volibear would probably have given in to the urge to try
