At this point in the letter, the Iceblood Lineage member choked up and stopped reading.
In silence, Karya and the others quickly turned around and looked toward the other side of the chamber. There, they soon found Avarosa and Serylda... or what remained of them.
The two bodies looked as if they were merely asleep, perfectly at peace, sealed inside the ice. They smiled as they gazed toward the inscription, their faces seeming to hold the hopes they had carried across a thousand years.
