Things in the world of Narnia had basically come to an end. After making all sorts of promises, the White Witch Jadis and the Lion King Aslan had reached some kind of new agreement because of a certain little girl. As for what was actually written in that agreement, Annie hadn't asked. She had simply listened with great interest as the Snow Queen Jadis, who could continue sitting on the throne of her ice castle, told her stories from when she had still been Snow White and about her adventures with several little Dwarfs.
Apparently,
before she became the Snow Queen, when she was still a princess named Snow White, she and her followers had launched a coup in the royal palace, intending to seize the throne?
Unfortunately, her preparations had been inadequate, and after her failure, she had been driven out by her sister and stepmother. She had then been exiled to the borderlands' forest, far from Charn and that great city... There, she had discovered and enslaved the leaders of seven evil Dwarf tribes, while seducing, deceiving, and using the prince of another small kingdom?
After that, following years of preparation, she had finally led an army back to Charn and successfully ascended the throne, becoming Charn's Snow Queen?
But even more unfortunately, her followers and those Dwarf tribes weren't very good at governing a country.
