Half asleep and still groggy, Po the panda suddenly found himself wondering, deep down: Perhaps Master Oogway hadn't insisted on building the Jade Palace high up on the mountain instead of in the town of the Valley of Peace for good reason after all.
Wasn't that right?
In this sweltering summer heat, if he'd been down in the town of the Valley of Peace, he would've been drenched in sweat even sleeping on the floor! Po knew what he was talking about—after all, he'd grown up in the town below.
But things were very different here at the Jade Palace on the mountain.
Sure, he could feel the heat of summer rolling in and hear the cicadas outside the window, along with the blazing sun. But thanks to the ever-present breeze and the cool currents high in the mountains, it was wonderfully cool here. He was so comfortable that, in his half-asleep state, he didn't much feel like getting up.
Po was sleeping very comfortably.
The cool breeze from outside brushed gently over him, as if someone beside him were thoughtfully fanning him. The summer cicadas were still chirping happily, mixed with the cheerful laughter of the Jade Palace's young kung fu students. He didn't want to get up or wake up, and he didn't want to worry about training anymore.
