In the East Storage District aboard the Long Night, near the teleportation landing zone and the supply warehouse used to store and transport ammunition and materials, a group of more than a dozen Gollums looked around nervously and argued briefly. They felt there had already been enough casualties over the past two days, and that their Gollum clan shouldn't keep being used as cannon fodder. After putting on a brief show of searching and quickly reaching a sort of consensus, they noisily turned around and hurried off toward the West District, away from the storage area.
As for the footsteps they thought they'd heard and the terrifying distortion in the air they'd glimpsed for an instant, perhaps it had all been their imagination.
