Annie was riding a blue banshee with beautiful patterns—one of those enormous, magical winged creatures with leathery wings that the Na'vi called ikran—and soaring freely through Pandora's skies, wandering wherever she pleased.

She had just visited the Hallelujah Mountains, a series of continuous peaks floating in the sky above Pandora thanks to their rich deposits of superconducting ore. Connected by thick vines, they looked like something straight out of a fairy tale. She had seen for herself how perfectly those islands could be turned into floating cities or magical towers.

Unfortunately, the floating islands had been left empty. Aside from the many banshee clans that had built nests there, not a single Na'vi had ever thought of living on them or building a house there or anything like that.

Annie couldn't help feeling a little exasperated about it...

She thought that if the Na'vi would stop living in tribes up in the trees, like monkeys or certain green-headed elves, and instead build villages or even big cities in those floating mountains, it would surely look beautiful.

Besides, the terrain was rugged and easy to defend. Most of the time, they wouldn't need to worry about the beasts on the ground. And since the Na'vi had flying mounts of their own, they could come and go as they pleased, hunt, or even farm on the floating islands. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

But unfortunately...

The Na'vi were still too backward and stubborn. They preferred living in their home trees and leading primitive, tribal lives. Who knew how long it would take them to advance to a higher level of civilization?

Anyway, Annie had no hope of that happening, and this "Oasis" game probably wouldn't last until they evolved that far.
