The instant Albedo spread her black fallen-angel wings, the full-body suit of pitch-black, spike-covered armor she wore—leaving not a sliver of skin exposed—revealed her impressive curves. At the same time, she gripped the black great axe glowing green in her clawed metal gauntlet and swung it viciously through the air. With a chilling whistle, it struck the neck of the Black-Scaled Queen's dragon head.
Albedo was the Floor Guardian Overseer of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. She lived in a room on the ninth underground floor of Nazarick, near the Throne Room. She had been created by "Tabula Smaragdina," one of the forty-one original members of the Ainz Ooal Gown guild. After crossing over to the New World, she became Ainz Ooal Gown's capable assistant—and his ardent admirer. Aside from military affairs, she was perfectly suited to managing Nazarick. Of all the Guardians, she had the strongest defense, and she also possessed a World Item: Ginnungagap.
It was a World Item that could change shape and possessed the greatest ability to destroy objects. Though it was slightly less effective against living creatures, it was certainly more than enough to chop off the head of a mere level-seventy Black-Scaled Dragon!
At least, that was what Ainz Ooal Gown, Shalltear, and some of Nazarick's lesser Liches watching from afar believed.
But...
CLANG~!!
Amid the metallic screech of colliding weapons and a shower of sparks, something that left everyone stunned took place. Albedo's powerful, confident blow—the Execute unleashed by the World Item Ginnungagap—had failed to sever the head of that mere level-seventy Black-Scaled Dragon!
And not only had the axe failed to cut through. The scales on the dragon's neck were so incredibly hard that they had withstood a World Item's strike without a scratch!
