At the very bottom of Coruscant's more than five thousand layers of crust, in the lightless depths where no sunlight ever reached, beneath the slums filled with crime and violence, two Coruscant security officers were directing a group of spherical hover droids as they investigated a sewer.

They examined the various traces left at the scene while directing the hovering spherical droids to scan and record the footprints, the liquid residue on the filthy steel walls, and several fresh scrape marks. They grumbled to each other as they worked:

"Over here!"

"Come scan this spot. Look at these tracks and footprints. Do they look like they were left by some kind of beast or insect?"

"Maybe!"

"I really don't understand what kind of creature would attack the sewer cleaners down here and eat them so cleanly. It even attacked the patrol droids..."

"Don't worry about it. This place is awful. Let's finish investigating and report back!"

"Fine, buddy, you're right. The air really is terrible. I can smell that stench even through my mask..."

"That's because you Togrutans have such sensitive noses. It doesn't actually smell that bad here—at least, not compared to a few levels below. We might have to go down there later, so we'd better investigate thoroughly unless you want to make a second trip."

"That's terrible news..."

"Hey! Get them over here to scan this spot, and this one too! Look at the marks on the wall—the metal's been scratched!"

"I see them. What did that?"

"I don't know. It looks like something with sharp horns ran past and left those marks. I hope they don't show up in front of us. They'd be bad news..."

"Relax. We've got blaster rifles. We're worse news!"
