Today was Annie's seventh day in this place called Mineral Town, in the spring of this world.
After selling three days' worth of mountain goods and getting her hands on that huge "fortune," Annie didn't rush off to start farming. Instead, she went back to the shop run by Big Sister Lin and Uncle Datt, brandished her Ranch Card, and spent a full two days eating and drinking to her heart's content. Uncle Datt was so delighted that the corners of his mouth nearly reached his ears!
It wasn't until Annie started getting a little tired of the food, and they told her that they only knew how to make set meals, salads, apple pies, cakes, and cookies—and no other dishes—that she remembered the huge stretch of abandoned farmland on her ranch. They said that if she wanted anything else, she'd have to grow the crops herself and follow recipes to make the dishes, or wait until the Spring Cooking Festival on the twenty-second of spring.
So Annie made up her mind: she was going to taste those even more delicious dishes, and she was going to grow Mineral Town's signature crops!
But...
Although she'd already made up her mind, Annie didn't hurry off to buy chicks or seeds and start clearing the land for farming and animal raising as Big Sister Lin had suggested. Instead, she headed for the Mineral Town library, which was said to have all kinds of delicious recipes.
"??"
(??????)????
"The library in the far northwest corner of Mineral Town... This should be the place, right?"

Annie soon found the large house in the northwest corner of the rather small Mineral Town. On one of the signs, she found the information she was looking for:
