Today was a lovely day. The weather was clear, with a few clouds hanging on the horizon, just enough to block the still-somewhat-blinding setting sun from shining on Annie's ranch and let one troublesome little girl continue wandering around her yard.
Anyway, little Annie would never tell anyone that she was the one who'd put that cloud in the sky, right where it would block the sunlight from her ranch!

Yes, Annie was in her ranch, swinging beneath the apple tree as she patiently waited for Uncle Zac to come by and collect her goods now that he'd recovered from his injury. He would count and take away the fish she'd brought back from yesterday's fishing trip—which she'd been busy with until the middle of the night—and settle the money she was owed as soon as possible. She'd need that large sum of money tomorrow.

Beside Annie's swing, the enormous, conspicuous hive still hung from the tree trunk. The hardworking little bees buzzed in and out, but they showed no intention of attacking her, the culprit who'd once stolen their honey.

Annie wasn't afraid of them at all. She knew that as long as she didn't raid their nest, they wouldn't come bother her, let alone sting her. She had plenty of experience with them.
Besides, even if she did raid their nest, it wouldn't matter. As long as she ran fast enough, she wouldn't be the one in trouble. She certainly wouldn't be like some silly big guy, wandering beneath the tree despite knowing there was danger!
