Time passed quickly. Summer gave way to fall, and in the blink of an eye, the brief, thirty-day hot season in the Mineral Town world was over once again. In its place came the last season of the year: a crisp, clear autumn, when they could plant certain crops that ripened quickly.
Autumn was a season of harvest and hard work. Whether they grew grapes or other crops, or ran a chicken ranch or a livestock farm, Mineral Town's residents all had preparations to make before winter arrived. Once the snow fell, all outdoor production would have to stop.

Being busy was relative. Compared with everyone else in Mineral Town, that troublesome little girl—a young ranch owner who was used to bossing her "slaves" around—certainly didn't need to worry about livestock, planting fall crops, or preparing for winter.
