Annie didn't give Carine, Buri, Mary, Ellie, Lin, or the other young ladies a chance to say goodbye. She didn't explain to that big-nosed old man, Mayor Thomas, or anyone else that she was leaving, either. She simply left a handwritten letter behind at home—though her handwriting wasn't particularly pretty—and slipped away while the girls were sprawled across her big bed, sound asleep. Taking Tibbers, whom she had turned back into a plush teddy bear, she left her ranch and the strange little world of Mineral Town.

She left Mineral Town a remodeled, "luxurious" house and the nearly two million G in her ranch account. As a result, the girls who usually spent time with her all became wealthy young ladies overnight. She'd also helped Lin and Buri sort out a few problems along the way.
