The fierce assault launched by the Heavenly Court against the Merlot Heavenly Court in the Angel Nebula and the City of Angels had now lasted a full seventy-two hours.
Over those seventy-two hours, the Heavenly Dregs on the Heavenly Court's side and their allied forces had lost at least a hundred thousand soldiers, countless warships, and tens of thousands of regular Heavenly Dreg troops. Yet after three days of bloody fighting at any cost, they had managed to seize only two or three of the Angel Nebula's outermost defensive lines. They had not even come close to the heart of the Merlot Heavenly Court.
But they showed no intention of stopping or slowing their assault. They continued to attack relentlessly, putting enormous pressure on the Angel Nebula's defenses while inflicting horrendous casualties on both sides.
