A newly promoted witch's insignia had to match her teacher's, and then be enchanted with a spell that only formal, powerful witches could use. The new witch's title and name also had to be engraved on it. It was just like the thing Fran wore on her chest. It wasn't very difficult.
The only thing troubling Annie now was that she didn't seem to have a witch's insignia of her own, so how was she supposed to make one for Irina?
