This city was called Hargeon, a port city with a thriving fishing industry.
Few people here could use magic. They said less than one percent of the population could use it—perhaps even fewer. So, naturally, there were far fewer magic-item shops here than elsewhere. There was just one pitiful little shop in the whole city.
After arriving in town and wandering around aimlessly for a while, Annie, who had no money from this world in her pockets and was desperate to buy something delicious, decisively headed for that poor little magic-item shop, ready to trade something for a bit of spending money!
Well, she couldn't help it. Annie wasn't planning to break the rules of the game just yet, or use her other items willy-nilly or simply pull out some gold coins. Besides, they didn't seem to accept physical gold coins here. So, apart from visiting a shop that dealt in magic and trading one or two spells she'd just copied for cash, she didn't have many options.

"These are spellbooks for Flame Storm and Pyroblast, and you're only offering me that little? Do you want me to turn you into a frog, boil you, and feed you to my Little Bear?!"

Slapping the two books down on the counter, Annie threatened the shopkeeper. She'd just hastily written them outside, and the ink inside hadn't even fully dried yet. They contained the spells for Flame Storm and Pyroblast.
Her Little Bear thought the price the man had offered was terribly unfair. He thought she should ask for more.
"I can't help it..."
"Dear young customer, you know there are very few people in our city who can use magic. Otherwise, a city this large wouldn't have only my little shop... And the things I sell here
