Magnolia Station was a huge train station. It was the transportation hub of Magnolia, a city where commerce and magic were equally advanced. It was also the meeting place where Erza had asked Annie, Natsu, and Gray to wait for her. So Annie and the others had arrived early that morning.

Annie looked at the bustling station platform, the railway tracks, and the steam locomotives rushing past with thick black smoke billowing from them. She'd been itching to run over and play on the trains, so she couldn't help grumbling about the red-haired big sister in armor who still hadn't shown up.
"I wouldn't dare spank her!"

Natsu stood off to one side, looking bored, with his simple luggage and a rolled-up blanket on his back. He first pursed his lips, then suddenly turned to a little girl and egged her on with a mischievous grin.
To be honest, he'd wanted to challenge Erza, the guild's strongest S-Class Mage, for ages, to prove his own strength and the results of his training. He was desperate to turn his title of "Fairy Tail's Strongest Fire Dragon" into "Fairy Tail's Strongest Mage"! But after being thoroughly beaten down by a certain little girl several times recently, his confidence had taken a hit, and he still hadn't been able to make up his mind.
