The other members of Fairy Tail had always thought that the little girl who loved fooling around and playing pranks, and who kept her eyes on President Makarov's seat day after day, could do nothing more than use a spell that reshaped reality and altered the very structure of the world, turning anyone or any monster within range who lacked anti-magic properties into a helpless little animal that could only surrender.
Even so, they thought that little trick was incredibly powerful. At least, so far, no one in the entire Fairy Tail guild—not even President Makarov, let alone any ordinary guild member—had ever managed to resist it!
So they had once imagined that if the enemy launched a close-range attack, perhaps she could take on Phantom Lord's president, Jose Porla, and the Element 4?
As for the so-called ultimate move the other side had often mentioned lately, they had never taken it seriously. Even if she really knew some spell she had never used before, they didn't believe that her so-called "ultimate move" could shift the balance of power between the two sides. So it was only natural that they had just wanted to avoid the enemy's second barrage and temporarily retreat.

The reality before them now—their companion Natsu, who had grown as tall as the enemy's mobile fortress before their very eyes and looked incredibly imposing—made them realize that they really had been wrong, and spectacularly so.
