Outskirts of Xika City. Natsu, Happy, Wendy, Carla, and the fake "Lucy" had unexpectedly reunited with the real Lucy, who had come to Edolas with Mystogan's help. After escaping their pursuers, the five headed toward Xika City. Now, they were resting in this dense forest to regain their strength.
Before they met, Lucy had summoned her Celestial Spirits and swiftly beaten a group of Kingdom soldiers, causing quite a commotion. As a result, they were being hunted, too. With Xika City just ahead, they needed to make some necessary preparations before arriving.
For example, the real Lucy was now telling her companions what had happened to her.

Taking advantage of the rest, Lucy briefly explained why she hadn't been teleported and turned into a Magic Crystal, how Mystogan had instead sent her to Edolas, and how she'd been searching for her companions ever since.

She knew she still had no idea what was going on. Mystogan hadn't had time to explain much to her, either. He'd only told her to go to Edolas to find and rescue her companions, without giving her any details. Then he'd hurriedly shoved her into the vortex that led to this world.
