Tenrou Island, also known as Fairy Island, was said to have once been inhabited by fairies.
But there was no way to verify whether that was true.
This place was actually the resting place of Mavis Vermillion, the first guild master of the Fairy Tail guild. That was why it had always been regarded as Fairy Tail's sacred ground, and only members of the Fairy Tail guild were permitted to enter.
What was even more amazing was that, because of the immense magic power contained in the land and waters surrounding Tenrou Island, as well as some mysterious force field that could bend light, it was very difficult for people from the outside world to find.
