With Ah Nu explaining it all over again and the troublesome little girl, Flame Immortal, vouching for her, Li Xiaoyao and Aunt Li—who had known next to nothing about the Nuwa Tribe, the gods, or any of that—finally began to let go of their prejudice. The distaste, fear, confusion, and astonishment in their eyes gave way to a little hesitation and a lot more wonder and delight. They even dared to approach Zhao Ling'er, curiously stroking and examining her lower half—the miraculous snake tail—and clicking their tongues in amazement.
But before Li Xiaoyao and Aunt Li could learn much more about Ling'er's bewildered, frightened, and somewhat embarrassed lower half, Annie cast another spell and changed her back from her half-human, half-snake form.
And so, the wedding feast they'd postponed was finally able to go ahead that evening.
