It had been exactly five days since little Annie, the bald Uncle Saitama, and Genos had all made their professional hero debuts together.
During those five days, nothing major had happened around Z City's abandoned area. So the three newly minted heroes were happy to take it easy and carry on as usual—in other words, doing absolutely nothing productive, just like before.
As for one troublesome little girl, she still spent her days eating, drinking, and sleeping. Whenever she got bored, she'd research all sorts of strange things that Saitama and Genos couldn't make heads or tails of. She kept insisting that it was all in preparation for fighting this world's will—the entity that created an endless stream of monsters and wanted to destroy humanity?
That sort of thing...
Obviously, neither the bald Uncle Saitama nor Genos believed her, but they didn't pay it much mind, either.
Some time ago, Genos had used training and "starting from scratch" as an excuse to move into the apartment next to Saitama's. He spent nearly every day hanging around with the bald Saitama, claiming it was so he could record his daily life and improve himself.
Saitama had initially been firmly against it. His room belonged to someone else and he was only living there as a tenant; the apartment building had nothing to do with him, either.
But...
After Genos had very sensibly handed over a full five million yen in a thick wad of cash, claiming it was "rent," the bald Saitama had agreed without a shred of dignity.
Of course, that was all small stuff. Right now, a far more important matter was waiting for Saitama and little Annie to deal with.
