The Li family fleet mainly engaged in maritime trade and other dangerous work, such as driving off and attacking Japanese pirates. The family had an ancestral residence in Hangzhou, along with considerable influence and connections, but, all in all, the Li family's roots were still at sea.
So...
Three days later, after selling their cargo and receiving payment, taking on a fresh load of local goods, and completing some basic maintenance and resupplying at the docks, the Li family fleet's two medium-sized Fuchuan ships, the Chunshen and the Huachang, set sail once more. They drifted downstream from the Qiantang River docks and slowly headed east into the East China Sea.
And so, naturally, a certain troublesome little girl was once again plunged into a long stretch of boredom. She could only lie on the bow deck with her Little Bear for a pillow, staring blankly up at the sky.

Earlier, Annie had eagerly set off with the Li family's older sister and the fleet, planning to visit the next city in search of delicious food. But on the second day after boarding, she regretted it.
And so, after accidentally boarding a "pirate ship," all she could do now was lie on the deck with nothing to do but gaze at the sky and sea, admire the blue sky and white clouds, bask in the sun, and watch the other sailors work.
Of course, it wasn't as if she had absolutely nothing to do. At the very least, she had to show up on time for three meals a day that weren't at all tasty?
Anyway, Annie had already lost track of how many days they'd been at sea. All she knew was that the two lousy ships kept swaying and drifting along, ever so slowly.
